Can a butterfly be furry? To be honest, I really don't know. But caterpillars are so I guess that counts. :)
I have to admit that when I started, I had full intentions of making a dog layout. But then it turned into something completely different. I guess that's what happens when inspiration hits.
Actually, I think it's that my Nana has been on my mind a lot. As I've mentioned before, we lost her in May and she was a HUGE part of my life for 43 years. Anyway, since she passed, my family and I have been seeing dragonflies and butterflies everywhere. And so...this is what happened...
My layout turned into a scrapbook page with lots of beautiful butterflies. Originally, the background was just the Tempting Turquoise cardstock. It was pretty - but I wasn't really happy with it as I felt it needed something more. I decided to take a small stamp from the Butterfly Basics set and stamp all over the turquoise cardstock to add interest to the background. MUCH better. I used the Tempting Turquoise ink pad to give it a tone on tone look. (the color in my photo is a bit off. I promise it's a true turquoise in real life.)
I guess that's it for today. Sorry no video for this one. There were so many pieces that I figured if I tried to film it, it would be one loooong video! Soon though, I will have more videos up for you.
Have a great weekend!
